Is The Potato Our Enemy?
Potatoes have gotten such a bad rep over the last few years because they contain high glycemic-index carbohydrates but this doesn’t mean they are unhealthy. Did you know that a medium sized potato contains more potassium than a banana? They are also a really good source of vitamin B6 and vitamin C.
The good old potato
Their somewhat bland taste makes them a great carrier of other flavours when you start venturing into the exciting world of baby purée combinations. They also hold their shape really well even when fully cooked, so this is great for when your little one enters the independent stage and only wants finger foods that they can eat by themselves.
